Strong PR generalists who are versatile and able to adeptly pitch across industries and beats are preferred.

​

Responsibilities:

• Be clients’ trusted “go-to” contact, always representing LKPR and the awesome work we do: connect regularly, provide account updates, and stay aligned on goals & priorities

• Develop strategic & creative media plans that deliver results and recalculate as needed to meet (and exceed!) client goals

• Supervise, lead and mentor junior account team members: manage workload, ensure all deadlines are met, develop rising talent & inspire their best work

• Demonstrate strong writing & editing skills developing client materials in their brand voice: press releases, bylined articles & recap reports, e-marketing, blog content etc.

• Foster and maintain deep relationships with key media & influencers across all mediums and beats, delivering consistent high-impact B2C and B2B media placements

• Stay in the know on client industry news, key competitors & trends to keep clients in the conversation

• Lead agency creative brainstorms and take team ideas from concept to reality

• Participate in new business efforts: manage research & contribute winning ideas to proposals

• Collaborate with creative team to design compelling brand assets that inform, engage & sell

• Be an ambassador for your clients at all times, and protect their brands as if they’re your own

Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years of public relations experience—preferably in a New York City agency environment

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism or a related field

• Bragworthy portfolio of media placements that move the needle for clients

• Self-starter & team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment

• Impressive verbal/written communication skills and high level of professionalism

• Hyper-organized and results-driven project manager who can balance multiple projects and many moving pieces, always delivering for clients on time

• Be flexible, creative & resourceful in making good things happen for clients—if there's a way, you'll find it!

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in PR tools like Cision (or comparable media list building tools) and TV Eyes

• Familiarity with Google Drive, DropBox and Microsoft Office Suite

• Working knowledge of major social media platforms
